About Us

Mitie Landscapes is a leading provider of Arboriculture services in Scotland. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality tree care solutions to a diverse range of clients, from small private projects to large-scale contracts. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced climbing Arborist to join our highly motivated and professional dynamic team.

Role Overview

As a Climbing Arborist, you will play an essential role in our daily Arboricultural operations, contributing to the successful completion of various tree works across urban and woodland settings. We are looking for a dynamic team player with excellent operational awareness. As a motivated individual, your initiative and adherence to all Health & Safety and Working From Height (WFH) protocols will be critical to maintaining our comprehensive safety standards.

Responsibilities

Your duties will include operating company vehicles and using and maintaining Arboricultural equipment efficiently and safely. You will be expected to ensure reliability in timekeeping and maintain a professional standard of performance. Strict adherence to Health and Safety Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Plan of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA) is required. You will also be responsible for promoting a culture of safety within the team and utilising smartphone-based operating systems to accurately report work activity.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in Arboriculture and hold a full driving license, with a trailer license being desirable. Relevant NPTC qualifications including CS30 (201/202), CS31 (203), CS38 (206), and CS39 (306/308) are essential. Holding an Arborist qualification or showing a willingness to progress with a recognised qualification would be advantageous. A strong commitment to hard work, reliability, and safety is necessary, along with a willingness to undergo further training and career development within the industry.

Benefits

We offer competitive pay dependent on qualifications and experience, along with a fully expensed company vehicle. There are opportunities for further training and career progression. This is a permanent position with 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with overtime and occasional overnight stays required. All relevant Arboriculture training schedules, including MEWP and IPAF, will be undertaken for the right candidate.

Mitie Landscapes is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals.
