In your new role as a Cleaner you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.   

In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role. You will need to be open, honest, self-driven and determined. You'll need to be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.

Summary & Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the responsible manager to maintain a safe and clean environment.  To assure that the company standards and policies are followed and maintained

The key responsibility of this role is to maintain the cleanliness of the Centre to a very high standard by carrying out a range of duties. These include using cleaning trolleys and cleaning machinery, as well as the correct equipment to clean steps. The role involves sweeping, damp mopping, and wiping down both shop fronts, along with wiping all glass doors and panels. All toilet areas, including disabled facilities and baby changing stations, must be cleaned, mopped, and disinfected. Where necessary, walls, pillars, painted surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and fittings should be washed or wiped. Waste bins throughout the mall are to be emptied and wiped down, and cleaning trolleys should be re-stocked and maintained. The cleaning of mall flooring includes removing spillages, litter, and debris, and general dusting and polishing of benches, lamp posts, and downpipes is also required. All work must be completed safely and thoroughly, in line with health and safety legislation. Confidentiality regarding client and staff information must be maintained. Any repairs or replacements needed should be reported to the appropriate person. Cleaning areas must be kept tidy, and cleaning materials should be stored safely. Effective and polite communication with colleagues, tenants, and shoppers is essential. The role may also involve further training as needed.
