About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high standards of cleaning across designated areas while ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties to agreed standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is clean, well maintained, and safe to use.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within designated areas.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with training and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
  • Report any maintenance issues, defects, or health and safety concerns.
  • Complete all mandatory training required for the role.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with colleagues, customers, and site users.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and actively contribute to continuous service improvement.

  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to communicate and understand basic English.
  • A flexible and positive approach to work.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • A professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Honest, self-motivated, and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent cleaning standards and customer service.
