The Administrator - Chaplaincy role offers an exciting opportunity to join a skilled and adaptable team providing first-class administrative support to world-class Armed Forces personnel. This position supports the Chaplaincy Department at Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC), Dartmouth, delivering day-to-day administrative and secretarial services within a distinct business area. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for all administration services, ensuring best practices are followed and contracted requirements are met to a high standard. Responsibilities include coordinating and greeting visitors, managing their entry and escort as needed, assisting Chaplains with various services such as weddings, carol services, and Passing Out Parades, and liaising with Establishment Training Schools to coordinate training plans and classroom allocations. Additionally, the post involves acting as Building Custodian for the Chaplaincy area and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Data Protection regulations. Flexibility to undertake additional tasks and provide support or cover for other Administrators as directed by the Line Manager is also essential.
The ideal candidate will be well-organized, precise, confident, and possess strong communication skills, enabling them to contribute effectively at all levels. They should be versatile, intuitive, professional, and demonstrate good judgment, absolute integrity, and discretion. A proactive, persuasive approach is needed, along with responsiveness to changing business needs and customer demands, while maintaining calm under pressure and self-motivation. Reliability and a professional appearance that reflects the positive values of MITIE are important. Candidates should have a proven track record in delivering quality administrative services with customer-facing experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop close working relationships. Strong organizational and motivational skills, IT literacy with proficiency in MS Office, good diary management skills, and a solid educational background are also required.

MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
