As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will be trained to perform a variety of tasks essential to the role. Your responsibilities will include preparing walls for decoration, carrying out minor repairs to surfaces and structures, and undertaking general repair works. You will need to use all relevant tools and equipment safely and efficiently, erect access equipment as needed with appropriate training, and set up temporary screening to protect the environment and ensure safety in line with Health & Safety guidelines. Monitoring and managing material stock will be part of your duties, and you will be expected to undertake all aspects of joinery work as required.

In terms of client and customer interaction, you should respond promptly to verbal, written, and reactive tasks, carrying out all joinery work to a high standard. You'll provide support and input on projects and notify your line manager of any complaints or discrepancies. For operations, ensure that all work is completed within the approved budget, utilize joinery equipment efficiently to minimize waste, and complete time sheets accurately and on time. You will also be required to implement and follow local procedures and liaise with site management and key personnel on building-related issues.

We are looking for someone who is organized, deadline-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player with a positive attitude and a "Can Do" approach. A good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and relevant legislation is essential. You should possess excellent customer service skills and be capable of performing all duties associated with the role of a joiner. As part of your development, you will be required to attend college and work towards a recognized qualification in joinery.
