ROLE: Air Hygiene Operative
HOURS: 40 Hours - Shift Pattern across Days and Nights
LOCATION: Gravesend (Mobile)

We're looking for an Air Hygiene Operative who will support the delivery of ventilation, ductwork cleaning and air hygiene services across a variety of sites.

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning in accordance with TR19 Grease.
  • Carry out ventilation system cleaning in accordance with TR19.
  • Install access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW144.
  • Inspect fire dampers in accordance with BS9999.
  • Conduct regular inspections of physical plant equipment as instructed.
  • Follow a preventative maintenance programme.
  • Recommend major repairs where needed.
  • Maintain personal equipment and chemical inventory levels.
  • Ensure service sheets are submitted prior to leaving site.
  • Complete and submit a pre‑work risk assessment for every job.
  • Carry out all scheduled works as instructed.
  • Follow method statements at all times.
  • Ensure safe working practices in line with RAMS.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Comply with site rules and communicate professionally with on‑site contacts, ensuring methods and results are explained before leaving site.
  • Leave work areas clean and tidy.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements for the role:

  • A recognised qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Client service skills and professionalism.
  • Good personal administration and organisational abilities.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Literacy skills, including the ability to read technical manuals.
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Strong time‑management skills.
  • Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Management policy requirements.
  • Compliance with Environmental Management System Policy requirements.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent timekeeping.
  • Demonstrates sound work ethics.
  • Respectful, with cultural awareness.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Compliant with DBS and security checks as required.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive.
