We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Procurement & Tendering Manager to join our Defence business in Gibraltar. This is an exciting opportunity to lead procurement and tendering activities across a high profile operational contract, ensuring best value procurement, effective supplier management and robust tender governance.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in supporting contract delivery, developing supply chain relationships and leading a small procurement team. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, clients, suppliers and project teams to deliver commercially sound solutions that support operational success.

The Role

Leading the day-to-day operation and management of the procurement function.
Supporting and overseeing tendering, RFQ and supplier selection processes.
Managing supplier onboarding activities and maintaining supply chain compliance.
Developing strong supplier relationships and implementing supplier performance management processes.
Supporting project teams and stakeholders with procurement advice and guidance.
Monitoring supplier performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and reducing commercial risk.
Acting as the key liaison for procurement systems and P2P processes.
Managing purchase orders, cash book reporting and supplier payment processes.
Supporting customs and border procedures for imported materials and equipment.
Producing accurate procurement data and contributing to contract performance reporting.
Leading, developing and motivating a high-performing procurement team.

About You

Essential

Experience managing procurement and tendering processes.
Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills.
Effective leadership and people management capability.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyse business requirements, processes and controls.
Commercial awareness with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver to challenging deadlines.
Flexible, proactive and solution-focused approach.

Desirable

Knowledge of construction methods and quantity surveying procedures.
MCIPS Level 3 or working towards a professional procurement qualification.
IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
Experience of quality, health and safety audits.
Understanding of contract and supplier performance management
