Job Overview

  • To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
  • Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
  • To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

Pay Rate: £16.05 per hour

Contracted Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts covering days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, professional, and technology-focused Core Support Officer to join our security team at a prestigious corporate location in Central London.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly capable security professional with strong control room, access control, CCTV, and customer service experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment while utilizing advanced security systems, digital technologies, and industry-leading procedures.

The role requires an individual who can think critically, respond effectively to incidents, and confidently use modern security technologies, including CCTV, access control platforms, and incident management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and staff.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarm monitoring, and video analytics systems.
  • Manage and operate electronic access control systems.
  • Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and security threats.
  • Conduct internal and external patrols of the premises.
  • Verify access credentials and manage visitor and contractor access.
  • Produce detailed incident reports and security documentation.
  • Investigate alarms and suspicious activity.
  • Support emergency response and evacuation procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with site Assignment Instructions, SOPs, and security policies.
  • Liaise with emergency services and external agencies when required.
  • Support front-of-house and reception security requirements.
  • Protect assets, critical infrastructure, sensitive information, and client reputation.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Valid SIA CCTV Licence.
  • Current Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Security Control Room or similar security operations role.
  • Strong experience operating CCTV systems and video analytics platforms.
  • Proven experience managing access control systems.
  • Experience in incident management and security reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
  • High standard of report writing and incident documentation.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong IT literacy and ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
  • Understanding of AI-enabled security solutions and digital security platforms.
  • Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to working shifts and undertaking additional training.

Screening Requirements

  • Successful DBS Check.
  • Media Screening Check.
  • Five-year employment history verification.

Desirable Skills

  • minimum of three years with Corporate Security
  • Experience using Genetec, Lenel, Gallagher, CCure, or similar security management systems.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted CCTV monitoring and security analytics.
  • Experience in corporate, critical infrastructure, or high-profile commercial environments.
  • Advanced IT skills including Excel, Teams, Power point , and incident management software.
