Working a 4-on, 4-off day shift pattern, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of a high-profile Critical National Infrastructure environment.

A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role may require travel between operational areas, conducting site patrols, supporting incident response activities, and providing operational resilience across the contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of Security Officers.
  • Conduct daily briefings and operational updates.
  • Allocate duties and ensure resources are deployed effectively.
  • Monitor service delivery and maintain high operational standards.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and supervision to team members.
  • Coach and develop officers to improve performance, capability, and confidence.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues, management, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and a positive working culture.
  • Support operational delivery and ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Monitor staffing levels and support resourcing requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with security procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with incident management, investigations, and reporting.
  • Escalate significant security, operational, or personnel issues to management when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete relevant administrative tasks.
  • Support the training, mentoring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Undertake Security Officer duties as part of the operational rota, including access control, patrols, monitoring security systems, emergency response, and customer service activities.
  • Lead by example at all times, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and commitment to operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Valid SIA Licence.
  • Must have the ability to obtain DV Clearance (Developed Vetting)
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Previous experience within a security environment.
  • Previous supervisory, team leader, or management experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience developing and supporting team members.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance and site access permissions.

Desirable

  • Experience working within Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), Nuclear, Defence, or Industrial environments.
  • Previous control room experience.

Expectations

As a Team Leader you will be expected to:

  • Lead by example and set high professional standards.
  • Build strong working relationships across the contract.
  • Develop employee skills, knowledge, and confidence.
  • Encourage collaboration and teamwork.
  • Support operational delivery and continuous improvement.

What We Offer

  • Structured training and development opportunities.
