Location: Swindon

Hours: 40 Hours - Monday to Friday

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work closely with the Minor Works Manager, developing mechanical and electrical design solutions for projects and structures within various sites.

Main duties:

Design and specify building services solutions in line with current industry guidelines, standards, regulations and construction requirements.
Prepare accurate project estimates and formal quotations, ensuring quality, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Manage small work packages independently, contributing to design reviews and completing agreed actions to support successful project delivery.
Develop strong customer and stakeholder relationships, communicating professionally with internal teams, external clients and departmental management.
Support the wider design and contract team, supervising trainees and technicians where required while maintaining awareness of industry trends and design techniques.

Requirements:

Relevant Building Services qualification from an approved Higher Education college or university, recognised by the Engineering Council/professional body.
Minimum 2 years' experience within Building Services project and/or design roles.
Strong technical understanding of M&E building services systems, including disciplines outside your core specialism.
Good commercial and financial awareness, with previous experience of managing project budgets and costs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
