Are you organised, reliable and experienced in stock control, warehouse operations or inventory management?
We're looking for a Lab Consumables & Inventory Assistant to join our team at GSK's world-class site in Barnard Castle. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in stores, logistics, warehousing, inventory control or materials management who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.
You don't need a scientific background to succeed in this role. Instead, we're looking for someone who is comfortable managing stock, using computer systems, working independently and delivering excellent service to customers.
As part of our Laboratory Support Team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring laboratory teams have the materials and supplies they need, when they need them.
Responsibilities include:
✅ Experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics, inventory or stock control environment
✅ Strong organisation and time-management skills
✅ Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
✅ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
✅ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
✅ Excellent communication and customer-service skills
✅ Full UK driving licence
⭐ Forklift licence
⭐ Experience using stock management or inventory systems
⭐ Experience working within a regulated or quality-focused environment
⭐ IATA Awareness training
