Job Overview

We are looking for a professional, confident, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will help protect our customer's people, property, and assets while delivering an exceptional standard of service in line with site Assignment Instructions and company procedures.

You will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment, building positive relationships with colleagues and customers, and contributing to the overall success of the contract. Main Duties

Operations

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
• Carry out all assigned duties in accordance with site Assignment Instructions.
• Regularly review Assignment Instructions and contribute ideas that may enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain all required licences and certifications, including SIA licensing and any contract-specific training requirements.
• Follow all health, safety, and security procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment when carrying out duties.
• Work in an organised and proactive manner, taking ownership of responsibilities and supporting team objectives.

Training and Development

• Complete all mandatory training and competency assessments.
• Take advantage of additional learning and development opportunities to support personal growth and career progression.
• Use technology effectively to achieve objectives and continuously develop professional knowledge and skills.
• Ensure all licences and qualifications are renewed within the required timescales.

Security and Health & Safety

• Identify and promptly report any health and safety concerns or potential risks.
• Remain vigilant and respond appropriately to security incidents, threats, or changes within the environment.
• Use initiative and seek support when required to manage challenging situations safely and effectively.
• Maintain a calm, professional, and approachable manner when interacting with customers, visitors, and colleagues.
• Complete accurate incident reports and records in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate reliability, commitment, and professionalism at all times.
• Ensure all required check calls and communications are completed in accordance with Assignment Instructions.
• Escalate incidents appropriately and liaise with emergency services and the Communication Centre when required.

What We're Looking For

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision).
• CCTV SIA Licence (or willingness to obtain where required).
• SC Clearance desirable.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, approachable, and confident manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
