Mitie is looking for an experienced Commercial Procurement Manager to lead procurement, tendering and supply chain activity across our Overseas Prime Contract in Gibraltar.

This is a high profile role offering the opportunity to shape procurement strategy, strengthen governance, improve supplier performance and support the delivery of critical infrastructure, engineering and facilities management services within a complex defence environment.

Working closely with senior operational, commercial and client stakeholders, you will provide procurement leadership that ensures value, compliance, risk management and operational delivery remain at the centre of every procurement decision.

What You'll Be Doing

As Commercial Procurement Manager, you will:

Lead procurement and tendering activity across the Gibraltar contract.
Drive procurement governance, assurance and supplier compliance.
Manage competitive tender processes, RFQs and supplier selection exercises.
Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
Oversee supplier onboarding and preferred supplier management.
Monitor supplier performance against cost, quality and service objectives.
Support commercial colleagues with procurement insight and market intelligence.
Manage purchase order controls, procurement reporting and supplier payment processes.
Support the procurement of construction, engineering and facilities management works.
Work alongside operational teams to define requirements, package work and challenge specifications where appropriate.
Lead and develop the procurement team whilst promoting best practice across the contract.
Build effective relationships with client representatives, suppliers and internal stakeholders

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded procurement professional who combines strategic thinking with hands on delivery.

You'll ideally have:

Significant experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain or subcontract management.
Experience leading tendering and competitive procurement processes.
Strong supplier relationship and performance management capability.
Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, hard FM, defence or similarly regulated environments.
The ability to influence stakeholders and drive procurement best practice.
Experience managing procurement governance, controls and compliance.
Strong commercial awareness and risk-management capability.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Desirable Experience

CIPS qualification or membership.
NEC contract awareness.
Experience within defence, public sector or critical infrastructure environments.
Experience of supplier onboarding, assurance and supply chain governance.
Knowledge of procurement systems such as Coupa.
Spanish language skills.
