Job Overview

Vacancy: Security Officer (Valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence Required)
Location: Baker Street
Positions Available: 1 x Security Officer
Contract: Average 56 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 7 on 3 off, 7 on 4 off (Days, Nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays)
Shift Times: 07:00 to 19:00 / 19:00 to 07:00
Hourly Rate: £14.80 per hour (paid breaks)
Overtime: Available

Role Overview

As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, security, and customer service standards of the site. You will work closely with the Supervisor and Management Team to ensure all security operations are carried out effectively and professionally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
  • Carry out all assigned duties as directed by Supervisors and Management.
  • Report and respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Assist with security, safety, and criminal investigations.
  • Accurately record incidents using the relevant reporting systems.
  • Conduct internal and external patrols of the building and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, site procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Follow all Assignment Instructions (AIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments (RAs), memos, and toolbox talks.
  • Display and maintain a valid SIA licence while on duty.
  • Operate CCTV systems in accordance with site procedures.
  • Attend all mandatory training courses.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety requirements.
  • Assist in the operation of the Security Control Room alongside the Supervisor.

  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking prolonged foot patrols, stair climbing, and manual handling duties.
  • Competent in basic IT systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous security experience.
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Valid CCTV Licence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Police Vetting (NPPV1 and CTC) within three months of appointment.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a busy reception environment.
  • Experience working within a transport, corporate, or public-sector environment.
  • CCTV Control Room experience.
