ROLE: Multi Skilled Engineer - Mechanical Bias
HOURS: 40hour per week 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required to support operational requirements, shutdown activities and emergency response arrangements.
LOCATION: Templecombe, BA8 (Site-Based Position)

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team supporting a critical client environment in Templecombe. Working alongside a team of mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and improvement works across a wide range of mechanical building services systems.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services plant and equipment.
  • Maintain, service and repair HVAC systems, including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), ventilation systems, extract systems and associated controls.
  • Undertake maintenance and fault diagnosis on commercial heating systems, boilers, pumps, expansion vessels, pressurisation units and associated equipment.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance to domestic and commercial plumbing systems, including sanitaryware, pipework, valves and water distribution systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective corrective actions to minimise downtime and disruption whilst supporting site projects, shutdown activities and asset replacement programmes as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working in a commercial, industrial or facilities management environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical plant, commercial plumbing and building services.
  • Experience maintaining pumps, motors, valves, heating systems and associated mechanical infrastructure.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
