ROLE: Water Technician
HOURS: 40 hours per week

We're looking for a Water Technician who will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and monitoring of water treatments for our customers, ensuring water is safe and meets regulatory standards. The position will support the key functions of the business by providing services as and when required and carrying out tasks allocated in accordance with all method statements and the fundamental rules of Marlowe Environmental Services.

Role Responsibilities:

• Complete allocated jobs within agreed timescales, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed and submitted on the electronic system in real time
• Ensure all equipment used is safe and fit for purpose and operate in line with method statements, audit requirements and company standards (no more than one audit failure per year)
• Carry out a range of technical water treatment tasks including testing, inspections, analysis, remedials, and interpretation of results with recommendations
• Support business operations by undertaking additional duties, training less experienced technicians, identifying personal development needs, and maintaining compliance with procedures
• Conduct specialist tasks where required, including secondary disinfection testing, BSRIA sampling, closed system analysis, plumbing and water treatment remedial works

Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Skills in line with levels 1 & 2 as well as either technical service (closed heating and chilled system testing, cooling tower checks and water treatment of boilers) or plumbing & water treatment remedial skills
• Ability to carry out multiple tasks across a range of disciplines and interpret results, reports and make recommendations
• Advanced water treatment knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to train less experienced technicians/engineers and occasionally work in other roles within capability
• Valid UK driving licence
