Job Description
The Treasury Operations Manager is a key role within the small Group Treasury team, offering a unique opportunity to gain all-round treasury experience in a FTSE250 group function. The role allows for end-to-end ownership of various activities with a focus on cash management and reporting, interest optimisation and Group funding requirements. Opportunities include developing our Treasury Management System (‘TMS') and providing improved reporting outputs from the treasury function.
Responsibilities
- Management of the day-to-day operations within the team, including line management of the Treasury Operations Analyst
- Daily liquidity management; making cash sweep and loan decisions
- Interest reporting; monitoring against budgets and forecasts
- Administration of financial instruments and loan facilities
- Management of bank account administration for the Group, including mandates and limits
- Assisting with development and roll out of new processes within the Treasury Management System
- Liaising with key stakeholders, both within the wider business and externally (banks and auditors)
- Running signing protocols for critical completion documents
- Support a continuous improvement programme reviewing all associated processes within the team, generating the required efficiencies through both process and system enhancement
- Delivery of adhoc projects as required
Qualifications
Knowledge & experience
- Substantive (3yrs+) treasury or cash management experience in a listed business
- Treasury/Accounting qualifications highly desirable
- Demonstrable experience of working to tight deadlines, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent administration skills in order to efficiently manage a demanding workload
- Proficient in use of standard MS Office packages (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Word)
