ROLE: Technical Facilities Assistant
HOURS: Full-time, 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
LOCATION: WItham and surrounding areas (mobile role)

We're looking for a Technical Facilities Assistant to support our M&E Engineering team by delivering high-quality technical and practical building services across a designated portfolio of sites.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of tasks, support contract KPIs, and consistently provide service excellence in line with Mitie's core values.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the M&E Engineering team in delivering planned and reactive maintenance across multiple locations
- Carry out Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) tasks, ensuring all results are logged and records kept up to date
- Respond to faults and incidents, aiming to achieve first-time fixes wherever possible
- Undertake statutory checks, including testing emergency lighting, alarms and electrical appliances
- Carry out safe isolations in line with Mitie guidelines and Health & Safety requirements
- Complete minor repairs and fabric works, including basic plumbing, joinery, decoration and fittings
- Liaise with contractors, colleagues, emergency services and alarm providers to ensure safe and uninterrupted building operations
Required Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge of building services, plant and maintenance activities
- Experience of both PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety, including risk assessments and method statements
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Clean UK driving licence and ability to work across multiple sites
