The Mitie Information Security team are responsible for maintaining the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of the data we are entrusted to process and store on behalf of our customers. Mitie work across the majority of sectors in the UK with customers in both private and public sectors, including the Ministry of Defence and Central Government departments. As a senior member of the team, you will be working across cyber security tool improvement, risk and compliance, project governance, and incident management

Job Overview

• Perform a governance role supervising the outsourced IT Security Operations team and the Cyber Security Operations Centre
• Provide expertise and advice on the performance of our security tool stack, providing refinement recommendations and gap analysis.
• Contribute to meetings and bring new ideas to the forefront, bringing a different perspective to the current approach to Cybersecurity Operations.
• Ensure defensive cybersecurity tools are configured for optimal protection.
• Build relationships among key stakeholder networks within the business, acting as a subject matter expert
• Assist in the creation of management information reports and dashboards.
• Work with our suppliers to maintain the security toolstack.
• Manage threat feeds and develop new sources of threat and vulnerability information
• Provide regular threat assessments to the team, directing Operations for specific APT TTPs as appropriate. 

Main Duties

• Act as senior point of contact for the Mitie Information Security Team for initial enquiries
• Provide consultation advice and SME expertise for projects
• Act as sign off authority for Information Security changes as appropriate.
• Provide updates for Minet and the team SharePoint page that focus on current threats and how to protect Mitie and our colleagues.
• Function as governance for the IT Security Operations service provided by Wipro and engage with them to ensure smooth day to day running of the service.
• Be a point of escalation for the IT Security Operations Team for IR and significant issues.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to keep Information Security services responsive and awareness levels of threats high

What we are looking for

• Minimum 5 years in a senior information security or similar role
• Previous experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services & Google Cloud Security tools
• experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools
• must have SC Cleared or able to obtain SC Clearance
• CISSP certified (in good standing) or demonstrate equivalent experience and knowledge.
