We are currently looking for an experienced Semi Skilled Engineer.

• Member of hard services team delivering minor mechanical and electrical planned and reactive maintenance.
• Role is a Monday to Friday working hours which can change from days to nights, service line dependant. However, working will include some Saturday and Sunday hours working at an overtime rate.
• Operate within the Sellafield Site Permit and SSOW procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with skilled engineers to assist delivery of M&E planned and reactive tasks in line with Safe System of Work (SSOW) on site.
• Provide assistance or carry out planned maintenance to a variety of mechanical/electrical equipment and carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
• Provide assistance or carry out repairs to mechanical/electrical on plant assets, including Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
• Carry out minor installation work on mechanical/electrical systems as per drawings and requirements of the business.
• Responsible for self and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendments.
• Carry out water flushing, chlorine testing, temperature checks and recording of results in water hygiene log book in line with L8 requirements.
• Recording and documentation of all necessary information.
• Completion of documentation as required.
• Undertake Health and Safety, Technical, Toolbox Talk and other training as required.

Further Responsibilities

• Retain excellent housekeeping and working practices.
• Ensure areas and plant rooms under Mitie control are kept clean, tidy and any issues reported.
  Complete and submit PPM and Reactive task paperwork accurately and timeously.
• Have a proactive approach to task completion and team effort.
