Relief Security Officer – Epsom, Surrey
Mitie is hiring a Relief Security Officer to work across three sites in Epsom, Surrey. This is a part-time, flexible role requiring availability for day and night shifts, weekdays and weekends.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid SIA Licence
- Previous experience in security is essential
Job Purpose
To protect property, people, and assets by delivering high-standard security services in line with the Assignment Instructions (AI) and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations:
- Carry out all site duties as outlined in the Assignment Instructions
- Stay up-to-date with changes to AI and suggest improvements
- Ensure compliance with UK laws and regulations
- Always wear your SIA licence on duty
- Follow procedures carefully and work methodically
- Complete mandatory courses required by contract
Training & Development:
- Finish all required competency training
- Pursue continuous self-improvement as guided by management
- Use technology to meet objectives and grow professionally
- Renew your SIA licence at least 16 weeks before it expires
Health, Safety & Security:
- Report health and safety risks immediately
- Stay alert to changes in your environment and act appropriately
- Involve others if situations escalate
- Remain professional in difficult situations
- Record incidents clearly in your notebook and report them
- Stick to your schedule and show commitment to Mitie and the client
- Make check calls on time as outlined in AI
- Contact emergency services and the communications centre when needed
