Overview
The Project Manager will provide high-quality, proactive, and efficient management of project-oriented works related to CSI (Critical Security Infrastructure) across the UK. The role involves maintaining effective systems and processes to support the flow of information, managing programmes, schedules, and commercial aspects, and addressing any issues and risks related to assigned projects. The Project Manager will ensure that project status is effectively communicated through close coordination with both internal account teams and external supply chains.
Main Duties:
- Oversee and manage all projects assigned within the CSI remit.
- Chair or attend stakeholder meetings.
- Provide line management for assigned direct reports.
- Review project works and contribute to programme discussions.
- Monitor and support the resolution of reactive and remedial work orders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with margin improvements through resource and procurement efficiencies.
- Continuously assess risks and implement mitigating actions as required.
- Collate and update associated reports, ensuring timely distribution.
- Manage client relationships, including progress updates, scope clarifications, and variation activities.
- Maintain internal systems with accurate and up-to-date data.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
- Oversee trending and statistical analysis.
- Conduct internal closed-loop reporting with other departments.
- Develop and maintain process documentation that demonstrates business protocols and delivery expectations.
- Provide visible leadership and clear direction throughout project execution.
- Monitor and manage project plans and structures.
- Write clear and concise project status reports for senior management escalation.
- Prepare necessary data and presentation materials for meetings.
- Ensure that project deadlines are consistently met.
- Log and manage any changes to project scope or objectives.
- Offer subject matter expertise to the Additional Works Team leadership.
- Undertake additional projects as required.
- Provide administrative support and apply Project Management methodologies across assigned projects.
- Update, maintain, and analyse information management systems; act as the central point of contact for lift-related matters.
- Monitor and review key project documentation throughout the project lifecycle to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery.
- Develop and implement a tracking and reporting system for New Works.
- Take ownership of project documentation management and ensure compliance with audit standards.
- Oversee the performance of subcontractors and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Ensure all documentation complies with relevant standards and regulations.
Person Specification:
- A clear understanding of statutory regulations related to the CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good understanding of project management approaches and methodologies.
- Proficiency in budgeting and resource allocation.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to write clear, precise reports and simplify complex information for a variety of audiences.
- Capable of working independently and under pressure.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Results-driven and focused on achieving outcomes.
