Job Title: Physical Security Intelligence and Incident Manager

Mitie are recruiting for a PSOC Manager who will be responsible for supporting and managing a team of PSOC operatives to protect our organisations people, property, information and reputation.

This is a global role, one of the key aspects is the monitoring and response to incoming information and alerts from intelligence sources and security systems.

The Manager will ensure that tactical intelligence and crisis management support is delivered by the operatives in a timely and accurate manner using the appropriate security communication methodology.

 Global Incident and Emergency Response

  • Assess impact to employees, assets, operation and reputation
  • Provide high level intelligence and security briefings to security management
  • Invoke IMT liaison/coordination
  • Produce and disseminate intelligence reports throughout the life cycle of the contract
  • Support information and intelligence dissemination during an incident impacting the Client's portfolio.
  • Where required, support the management team in issuing emergency communications

Intelligence & Reporting

  • Be aware of the current intelligence picture to identify risks, threats and challenges faced by the business
  • Assist in producing regular intelligence reports in collaboration with the intelligence operatives
  • Providing intelligence assessments obtained from risk service providers and open-source intelligence sources.
  • Actively monitor security incidents to determine potential impact and maintain an awareness of strategic trends throughout key regions globally.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret information for complex security- and incident-related data
  • Produce and distribute intelligence and incident reports
  • Phone and email communications with internal customers

Travel Risk Management and Security

  • Oversee and support travel risk management process for the client and provide intelligence products to enable a greater level of understanding for travellers.
  • Support the delivery of travel security risk assessments for staff travelling to high-risk destinations
  • Monitor for international risks and deliver travel alerts and where necessary escalation to management.
  • Assist travellers following incidents or significant developments through incident debriefs and provide products to enable safety of future travellers.
  • Direct liaison with 3rd party providers for travel tracking and traveller assistance

 Event Intelligence and Security

  • Monitor and report updates during global client events
  • Communication support with on-site security teams to provide intelligence on current or emerging risks through actionable intelligence briefings.
  • Support Incident response and escalation where applicable to enhance security provision.

Physical Security

  • Conduct all operational tasks in accordance with PSOC Assignment Instructions, Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support of site-based security operations (e.g. building evacuation)
  • Assisting with investigations, when required Relationships & Communications
  • Be knowledgeable of all senior site representatives and other key stakeholders
  • Develop strong relations with internal clients globally
  • Be prepared to give intelligence briefings to senior managers on security incidents during live events

Person Specification

Essential

  • Previous SOC / GSOC Management/Supervisory experience working in an operative or analyst environment and/or a relevant higher education qualification (International relations, Global Security)
  • Fluent in verbal and written English coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Prior experience delivering intelligence and incident reports
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of business, internal and external
  • Good IT skills proficiency to use all MS Office applications
  • Report and assessment writing
  • Full 5-year checkable employment / academic history

Desirable

  • Bilingual experience working in a similar role
  • Use of intelligence management systems with intelligence monitoring at a tactical level
  • First Aid at Work qualified
  • Experience using data analysis tools such as Microsoft Power BI
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy law
