Job Overview
The Retail Security Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the assigned area meets or exceeds budget and service delivery requirements. This is achieved by ensuring all store portfolio officers fully understand and comply with Mitie policies. The role demands effective coaching and performance management skills to build and lead an industry-leading retail security team for our client.
Main Duties
- Efficiently oversee the security performance within a specified region by building, leading, retaining, and supporting the development of a team of Security, Elite, and Tactical officers. These officers should exemplify through their work that Mitie stands out as a distinctive provider of security services.
- Maintain and review both Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments.
- Ensure all vacancies are advertised with appropriate agencies and maintain establishment to meet coverage KPIs specified by the customer through effective management of recruitment and succession planning.
- Provide adequate and appropriate training, advice, and support to make the officer team successful. This includes ensuring knowledge and use of key systems and tools, awareness of policies, conducting regular appraisals, providing open feedback on progress and career development, and applying performance management and support for our colleagues develop in their roles.
