As part of our growing site family, we are looking for a Multi Skilled operative to provide a building fabric maintenance and repairs overview to support the onsie team, this may cover, basic plumbing, legionella, building fabric repairs, escorting contracors and many other tasks. The role sits within our facility support service and covers a diverse range of requirements for the client.
You will be responsible for delivering a building fabric service such as minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, and patch repairs. Ideally you will have worked in the building services sector, or similar, with basic electrical and/or plumbing skills as you will be carrying out fabric repairs. You should be physically fit as the role does involve some manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces.
This role is site based at Hinkley Point in Somerset, working 4 days per week Monday to Thursday on a 36 hour contract, initial contract will be for 6 months until the end of March 2025 with the possibility of extending to a permenant position.
You will keep the clients updated with any developments, recording all activities, remedial works, inspection logs etc and ensure a high level of customer service and will need good verbal and written communication and comfortable working with IT to record your tasks and updates,
The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities management, a trade scheme or served experience.
