ROLE: Junior Mechanical Engineer
HOURS: 40 per week
LOCATION: Birmingham, West Midlands, England, B37 7ES

We're looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer who will undertake mechanical repairs, maintenance tasks and minor installations of mechanical equipment within a commercial environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertake planned maintenance activities and repairs on all mechanical equipment, including pumps and mechanical drive systems
• Diagnose and repair simple and complex faults, identifying and actioning any remedial works required
• Produce permits to work and risk assessments, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and within contractual timescales
• Work collaboratively with team members and visiting sub-contractors, ensuring high standards of work and Health & Safety compliance
• Maintain accurate documentation, use handheld technology effectively, and build excellent customer relationships with on-site clients

Required Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including apprenticeship training
• City & Guilds Level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical discipline
• Experience in maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of mechanical equipment in commercial environments
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
