Job Overview

Responsible to be onsite for the day-to-day delivery of diverse FM Hard services for a Home Office site. The role involves maintaining suitable client relationships, managing a team of front-line staff and external service providers. The role will report to the site Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the portfolio of facilities within their area of responsibility, to ensure they are aligned to the Mitie business unit operational processes and procedures, in line with the contractual obligations.
  • Ensuring the teams have a clear understanding of the risk assessments process and inspection process for buildings (i.e. workplace assessment, fire, life, safety systems) in order to support the site and regional FM team
  • To establish, maintain and develop effective professional working relationships with clients, Integrator, Mitie staff and other key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for mobilising and demobilising services on site.
  • Responsible for service delivery in line with KPIs, SLAs and WIP management.
  • Conduct regular reviews / audits of hard service standards, against the contractual service delivery model.
  • Ensure all sites are statutory compliant and all PPMs are carried out.
  • In the event of a reactive issue ensure that the right resources have been deployed as quickly as possible and assist in overseeing the issue until the matter is resolved. Assist in the deployment of additional resources as required. Ensure accurate communications with the client and end customers throughout the duration of the issue.
  • Facilitate and control of Subcontractors as required.
  • Management and control of the on-site engineering resource.
  • Management and control of the on-site service desk and administrative departments.
  • Management and delivery of any required remedial works on site, both in house and subcontractor.
  • Management and delivery of any additional/chargeable works on site through the necessary business channels.
  • Collection of asset data (checking / verifying) as required.
  • Liaising with the sites project management team to ensure projects are delivered in line with maintenance requirements.
  • There may be occasions where you will be expected to attend sites out of normal working hours to either engage with staff or as part of an emergency recovery exercise.

Knowledge Skills & Experience

  • Technical qualifications or time served experience within a technical role.
  • Experience of FM service delivery, across the entire Total Facilities Management spectrum. Line management experience required.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices.
  • Knowledge of CAFM tools.
  • Previous experience in an FM role, including experience of working with building services. 

Essential:

  • Technical qualification.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing hard services.
  • Committed, organised and highly experienced in staff management and motivation.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • A professionally recognised H&S qualification – IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent

 

Desirable

  • BICs Qualification
  • Full clean driving licence
