We have a Full-Time permanent opening for a Logistics Operative working within our Lab Consumables stream for our Pharmaceutical client in the Barnard Castle area. The role will be primarily to support the stock management & distribution of lab consumable around site to kanban areas.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out stock checks across various Kanban areas around the site and processing stock updates through the Inventory Management System, including tasks such as ordering, depleting, and replenishing stock. A key part of the role involves reviewing and receipting incoming stock to ensure it is accurate and aligns with the orders placed. The candidate will also be expected to apply stock rotation management practices and highlight any expired items to the relevant area owners.

Previous experience in stock management is preferred, and a full, clean driving license is essential. While a forklift license is desirable, it is not mandatory.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hard-working, and willing to take on various tasks. Confidence and strong communication skills are important, especially in situations where there is a need to challenge behaviours. The ability to work independently without supervision is required, along with a strong customer focus and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience working with hazardous materials would also be advantageous but is not essential.
