Job Overview
Due to the extensive nature of our strategic customers' portfolios, and the volume of information and data involved, this role is key in enabling smooth delivery of our contract commitments and focusing attention on providing an excellent, robust service. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Energy professional to lead our Invoice Management team. Our Invoice Management team provides support across all departments within our Energy / Decarbonisation division and to oversee our invoice management process on behalf of our customers as well as being the single point of contact for them relating to any queries. The Invoice Analyst will transfer and condense complex data into our systems database for accurate documentation, record-keeping and for further interrogation. The Invoice Analyst will follow procedures to enter customer and account information from billing, reports, receipts, and other forms in a timely and efficient manner. They also carry out the validation of our customers invoices.
Main duties
- Prepare source data entry by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities. Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures
- Responsible for the full end to end process of supplier invoice processing from receipt through top payment / allocation
- Managing receipt of utility invoices, both via paper and electronically and record in the system. Entry of customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or uploading data according to format
- Maintenance of data entry requirements by following agreed system techniques and procedures
- Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data
- Production of invoice authorisation reports and management of our client's payment processes
- Ensure billing is accurate and all inaccuracies logged as queries via appropriate tools and systems (QMDB), and tracked to completion
- Any other duty which reasonably falls within the scope of this role
Requirements
- You will have managed a team at a senior level and have proven ability to build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and teams
- You will have managed clients at all levels and be able to prove how your customer focus has built long standing relationships
- You have extensive experience or knowledge of the energy sector
- You will be commercially astute and aware. Good understanding of all services lines for each assigned customer and can field questions regarding all Mitie Plan Zero teams
- You excel at producing high-quality communications and presentation materials for senior audiences, with the ability to convey complex topics simply and compellingly.
- You have strong quantitative and qualitative skills; you are highly organised with strong interpersonal and management skills with an ability to work to tight deadlines and self-manage priorities amongst multiple tasks
- You possess a demonstrable knowledge of the tools that can be applied to strategic challenges, and you're adept at using these to navigate and resolve complex issues.
- You're willing to work across a range of issues and able to adapt quickly as priorities change
Knowledge, skills & experience
- Proven background in working in an energy services team, utility supplier or TPI preferred
- Track record of working with large data sets
- Proven ability with Excel and other data analytic tools

The successful candidate will be based in London, Northampton or another Mitie office, but also be expected to attend meetings at client sites from time to time. Flexible working from home is available 2-3 days per week at management's discretion.
