Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Coordinator, your primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive facilities supervision and support to school sites, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively while achieving and maintaining full contractual and statutory compliance. You will also offer crucial support to the Facilities Manager in managing and delivering contractual obligations and meeting client expectations. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on service delivery performance on a monthly basis or as requested by the client.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support teams in the operational delivery of contract requirements and services in line with MITIE's values and standards.
- Provide guidance to site teams in delivering SLAs timely and in accordance with the Facilities Management Agreement and Project Agreement.
- Ensure budget and specification targets are met.
- Implement controls, including audits, to monitor service management and delivery by MITIE and subcontractors.
- Ensure checks on contract administration, record keeping, and availability of audit records.
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance works to minimise impact on school users.
- Liaise with the Facilities Manager on procurement to maximize value for money.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, support audit processes, and maintain client interface on Health & Safety issues.

- Proven experience in a supervisory role is preferable or a general hands on approach.
- Passionate character who demonstrates willingness and drive.
- Demonstrable success in a similar service environment and capable of delivering compliance in line with contract requirements.
- Ability to quickly build credible relationships with a team and clients, and challenge when necessary.
- Communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
- Performance driven with financial awareness.
- Problem solving and decision making.
- PC literate with Outlook, Excel and Word skills.
