We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager with a background in FM project management or operational management.
A people manager you will have managed both sub-contractors ensuring high levels of delivery within a CPI's, KPI's, PI's environment and managed, monitored and controlled costs ensuring achievements of financial targets. As you will play a key role in the audit process you will be experienced in management information, operational finance and reporting.
You will be pivotal in engaging and managing key stakeholder relationships including managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Holding an IOSH certificate you will also be able to demonstrate an awareness of CDM regulations.
Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office.
Skills and experience required to manage three HQ buildings in London.
The primary focus of this role will be to ensure statutory compliance, back of house spaces, PPMs, Reactive maintenance, L8, and other related tasks to support the silent running of our FM delivery whilst maintaining customer experience at the heart of what you do.
• This role will report to the London Campus Operations Manager and will work closely alongside London Service Line Leads, the Contract Support & Governance Manager as well as Business Area SMEs & the wider Mitie functions e.g. finance, projects, procurement, water, fire & control etc to ensure Operation Resilience, customer satisfaction (NPS), P&L responsibility, implementation of best practice, standardisation and consistency and continuous improvement.
• Be responsible for core Mitie service scope responsibilities ensuring Mitie Service Lines and 3rd party suppliers maintain and repair the services of the London Campus in line with the clients' contractual requirements, statutory requirements, agreed timescales and budget.
Essential
• Experience of working as a Building Services Manager/ M&E Manager for a minimum of 5 years in a corporate setting.
• A very strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Packages.
• Experience in total site management as well as a proven track record of leading multiple discipline teams.
• Experience in the M&E Building services sector and a working knowledge of the operational activities and trade skills.
• Excellent presentation and communications skills and proficient problem solving skills. It is crucial that you have the ability to work well under pressure, the confidence to make decisive decisions and experience in meeting tight deadlines.
• Thorough technical knowledge, plus relevant experience, of the operation and maintenance of critical building services as described in the key responsibilities of the role section.
• A proactive attitude, with experience of successfully delivering change, through both processes and people.
• Knowledge of current legislation and mandatory standards relating to safe working practices.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Relationship management skills and the ability to manage a team under both direct and indirect line management.
• The ability to communicate effectively, in both verbal and written forms.
• Capable of fully utilising programs in the MS Office suite to produce written reports, tracking spreadsheets and presentations.
