Engineering Shift Supervisor (76909)

Ensure all site electrical and mechanical systems are monitored, operated and maintained as required to prevent any disruption to the availability of critical Data Centre services.
Supervise the Data Centre Shift Engineers operational and maintenance activities to ensure work is executed in a safe and suitable manner and all SLA's are met.
Ensure a high standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance is achieved at all times.
Provide a customer focused service.
Accurately record and report maintenance activities, to ensure CAFM database is correctly updated.
Ensure the maintenance of accurate plant records, event logs and other information pertinent to the operation of the site.
Assist with incident management and subsequent investigation to establish root cause.
Be proactively involved in the ongoing technical evaluation of all plant and equipment, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
Oversee or carry out Data Hall electrical installations / testing to site specifications.
Act as an Authorised Person for HV and LV electrical systems.

Person Specification

Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds Part A&B or equivalent.
Qualified in an electrical or mechanical discipline with at least 5 years experience in operating mission critical installations.
Understands the full range of M & E equipment in a modern Data Centre environment.
Able to lead a small engineering team.
Possesses good communication skills.
Capable of managing initial incident response and escalations to client representatives.
