Engineering Shift Supervisor (76724)

Time: 42hours - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off
As a site based ‘Resilience Supervisor', you will play a key role in on-site operations.
You will be required to supervise a team of engineers during your shift (Electrical and Mechanical biased shift and day engineers). Playing a pivotal lead role in maintaining both Electrical and Mechanical infrastructure, you will possess excellent communication skills, take ownership of tasks and be proactive as to set an example to your team. Ensuring KPIs are met are a key factor. You will be accountable for ensuring all planned maintenance is carried out in line with scheduling, prioritising Statutory and Mandatory tasks, ensuring prioritisation of Reactive tasks.
The qualifications you will need to possess are:
- City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1&2 qualification NVQ Level 3 or HND equivalent as a MINIMUM
AND/OR
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HND equivalent (MINIMUM)
- City and Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing as a MINIMUM
- HVAP qualification & proven HV experience (You will be required to sit a Technical assessment at interview stage) as a MINIMUM
- Confined space trained (Ideal)
- IEE 18th Edition Regulations (ideal)
- ISOH managing safely.
As above, Equivalent recognised Electrical/ Mechanical qualifications would be sufficient with the correct level of experience.
Previous experience of Working within a Critical environment i.e. Data Centre would be an advantage.
Leading site activities and ensuring your team remain compliant, adhere to SSoW, LOTO and permitting systems. As above, you will be required to undertake a competency appointment for both Electrical and Mechanical systems. You must have experience as a HVAP, be able to safely and competently carry out fixed wire testing and be responsible for all elements of electrical & mechanical installation/ repair work and be able to carry out all aspects of maintenance as required that is included in the contract, making use of the uniform and PPE provided. IT experience is also necessary for recording work accurately. And fully understand our Statutory Compliance.
You must be available to join a call out rota and hold UK citizenship. As part of this role you will have to complete DV clearance therefore, a clean criminal record is fundamental.
