Job Title: Newly Qualified Electrician – FM Contract Support

Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and safety conscious Newly Qualified Electrician to join our facilities management team. This role involves supporting an experienced upgrade electrician in delivering electrical upgrades, maintenance, and compliance works across a portfolio of commercial properties. It's an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and grow within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Support fault-finding and diagnostics under supervision.
- Carry out minor repairs and occasional planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Build quotations for client approvals.
- Liaise professionally with site contacts and FM teams.
- Participate in toolbox talks and training sessions.
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping and site safety.
Requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- ECS Card (or eligible to obtain).
- Basic understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable:
- Experience gained through apprenticeship or work placement.
- Familiarity with FM environments (e.g., retail, office, healthcare, critical systems).
- Awareness of Health & Safety practices in construction/FM settings.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
