Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Reporting to: Electrical Supervisor
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday)

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at MOD Corsham. You will work across a range of Mitie clients, performing electrical safety checks, PAT testing, planned maintenance, and reactive repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations and company policies.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and emergencies.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure efficient system operation.
• Diagnose faults and implement timely repairs.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Provide technical advice and maintain accurate work records.
• Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need a breadth of experience in electrical maintenance and installation work. The ideal candidate will have completed a time-served apprenticeship and hold the following qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electro-technical apprenticeship
• C&G 236 Parts 1 & 2 or C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3
• AM2
• Current BS7671 Certificate (18th Edition)
• C&G 2391 Testing & Inspecting
• Health & Safety (IOSH Working Safely)
• Asbestos Awareness
• Ability to work from engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, installation, and maintenance operations
• Full, current driving licence
• IT literate with good customer service skills
• Physically able to carry out the duties required
