Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: MOD Corsham

Reporting to: Electrical Supervisor
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at MOD Corsham. You will work across a range of Mitie clients, performing electrical safety checks, PAT testing, planned maintenance, and reactive repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations and company policies.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Respond to reactive maintenance tasks and emergencies.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure efficient system operation.
- Diagnose faults and implement timely repairs.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Provide technical advice and maintain accurate work records.
- Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will need a breadth of experience in electrical maintenance and installation work. The ideal candidate will have completed a time-served apprenticeship and hold the following qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electro-technical apprenticeship
- C&G 236 Parts 1 & 2 or C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3
- AM2
- Current BS7671 Certificate (18th Edition)
- C&G 2391 Testing & Inspecting
- Health & Safety (IOSH Working Safely)
- Asbestos Awareness
- Ability to work from engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, installation, and maintenance operations
- Full, current driving licence
- IT literate with good customer service skills
- Physically able to carry out the duties required
