Corporate Receptionist – Job Overview
We are seeking a professional, welcoming, and experienced Corporate Receptionist to join our Guest Services team. This role is responsible for delivering reception, administrative, and secretarial services efficiently and professionally, acting as the face of the client workspace.
Working as part of a 5* Mitie team, you will take ownership of the reception environment and provide a first-class customer experience across all integrated facilities management services. You will ensure all customer requests and site activities are managed efficiently, delivering consistently high standards for all visitors, clients, and colleagues.
Working Hours: 40 Hours per week
Between the hours of 07:00 - 17:30
Shift patterns are subject to availability and will be decided upon business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to all visitors, managing sign-in processes, security passes, and transport requirements
- Maintain a tidy, professional reception area at all times
- Handle telephone calls and emails promptly and professionally, ensuring correct etiquette is followed
- Manage the switchboard, directing calls accurately and maintaining associated records
- Act as the central point of contact on site for clients, guests, contractors, and service lines
- Manage shared inboxes, visitor queries, messages, and general enquiries
- Oversee incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and package distribution
- Issue visitor, contractor, and staff passes, including pit passes where authorised
- Support building security, including opening and closing procedures and emergency evacuations
- Manage desk, room, and collaboration space bookings using the site booking system
- Book taxis and shuttles via approved providers and manage travel ticket stock where applicable
- Order consumable goods and maintain stock levels
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring documentation is correctly stored
- Collate data and produce reports as required, supporting audits when necessary
- Build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and anticipate client and visitor needs
- Work flexibly as part of the wider on-site team to ensure a seamless service
- Uphold Signature uniform and grooming standards at all times
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Skills
- Proven customer service experience, ideally within a corporate or front-of-house environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident computer user, including Microsoft Word and Excel (desirable)
- Experience with desk or room booking systems (desirable)
