Mitie has a great opportunity for an organised, efficient, and experienced Control Room Operator to join our security team in Manchester. You will be working within a supportive team to maintain and monitor CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels.

You will be contracted to 42 hours a week with a pay rate of £13.00 per hour. You will report to the sites Security Shift Supervisor.
The shifts are 4 on 4 off working days. Night shifts will also be available to cover absence and holidays within the team.

Main Duties
- Your key responsibilities will include assisting with daily operational requirements – ensuring compliance and accurate recording of incidents. As part of your role, you will be required to escalate incidents, report Health and Safety concerns, and respond to emergency situations, while producing accurate reports to ensure incidents are efficiently responded to.
- You will also be supporting the Shift Supervisor where required.
The ideal candidate
- You will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers.
- You will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
- You should be able to work on own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills is essential (written and verbal).
- Corporate Security experience is preferred but not essential.
- Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs.
- Calm under pressure.
- Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
