JCA is expanding due to major project wins and increased workload. We're seeking Commissioning Managers to oversee MEP commissioning from design through to handover. You'll manage testing phases, lead site teams, and ensure seamless integration of systems in critical environments like data centres and labs. This is a client-facing role offering leadership, autonomy, and the chance to work on high-impact engineering projects.

This role exists to ensure the successful commissioning of complex MEP systems, maintaining JCA's high standards and client satisfaction in technically demanding environments.
Responsibilities:
As a Commissioning Manager at JCA, you'll be responsible for leading the end-to-end commissioning process of MEP systems—from pre-construction planning and design reviews to on-site testing, integration, and client handover. You'll manage commissioning teams, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and deliver fully operational systems in critical environments such as data centres and laboratories.
Requirements:
- Engineering qualification (ONC, HND, or Degree) in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services.
- Proven experience managing MEP commissioning in critical environments (e.g. data centres, labs).
- Strong knowledge of commissioning processes across all testing levels (FAT, SAT, IST).
- Ability to produce and manage commissioning plans, strategies, and technical documentation.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, project teams, and clients on-site.
- Valid CSCS card, SMSTS or IOSH certification, First Aid at Work, and full UK driving licence.
