Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver cleaning services in line with the agreed cleaning schedules and SLAs.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to complete all tasks effectively.
• Follow all Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain your designated area to a high standard, completing daily, weekly, and periodic tasks as instructed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Understand the full scope of your cleaning area and tasks, including time allocations and specifications.
• Use only approved cleaning materials and chemicals in line with Mitie's guidelines.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with site users and colleagues.
• Use appropriate warning signs to ensure health and safety during cleaning tasks.
• Comply with site rules and procedures at all times.
• Carry out any other cleaning duties as requested by your supervisor or line manager.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a similar cleaning role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.
• A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

In your new role as a Cleaning Operative you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role.
