We're looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour

Location: Heartlands Hospital, Bordesley Green, Birmingham, West Midlands, England, B9 5SS

Role Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
Handle cash collection, banking, and maintain records and procedures.
Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.

What we're looking for:

Previous catering experience in a similar environment (desirable).
Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided if not held).
Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
Passion for customer service and ability to work independently and in a team.
Adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident with strong organisational and time management skills.
