Location: The Broadway, Bradford, BD1 1JR
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 42 hours per week
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Car Parking Supervisor to join our award-winning security and customer service operation—playing a key role in ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless parking experience.
About the Role
As a Car Parking Supervisor, you will support the day‑to‑day operational running of our parking facility, leading a team of Parking Officers and ensuring high standards in customer service, safety, and site presentation.
You'll be a visible, hands‑on leader—confident working both independently and as part of a wider security and operations team in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Supervise, motivate and support a team of Parking Officers.
- Manage holiday rotas, timesheets, overtime and general HR-related tasks.
- Maintain strong communication across the team, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed.
- Support the Security and Operations Manager with staff appraisals and ongoing development.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure daily car park operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Regularly patrol and inspect all car park areas, equipment, signage and facilities.
- Maintain excellent presentation and cleanliness standards across the site.
- Deploy resources effectively to meet customer, operational and financial KPIs.
- Assist with the maintenance of the car park machinery and infrastructure through planned PPM and ensuring safe areas of work are available for contractors and members of the public.
Customer Service
- Provide outstanding service and guidance to customers using the car park.
- Resolve customer complaints, issues and enquiries promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.
- Use ANPR and Skidata systems to assist with queries and protect revenue.
Compliance & Health & Safety
- Monitor site conditions to ensure compliance with all safety standards.
- Report hazards or incidents immediately and accurately.
- Understand and uphold emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Carry out regular recording of incidents and data via computer, CCTV and smartphone systems.
Reporting & Communication
- Complete weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Attend regular meetings with the Duty Manager, Security Manager and Operations Manager.
- Provide detailed customer feedback summaries and follow up on local issues.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a service, retail, shopping centre or parking environment.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and influence.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- SIA CCTV Licence.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Physically fit and capable of manual tasks (cones, barriers, snow equipment etc.).
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Skidata parking systems.
- Driving licence (preferred; full UK licence required for roles involving driving).
- IOSH or Level 2/3 Health & Safety qualification.
Eligibility checks (if driving forms part of the role):
- Aged 21+
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No motoring disqualifications in the last 5 years
- Subject to a basic DBS check and satisfactory references
