Job objectives and responsibilities |

Mitie is a UK-based FM (“Facilities Management”) and technical services company with annual revenues of circa £3.4bn. Mitie are one of the UK's 250 largest public companies and the UK market leader in outsourcing and FM. Mitie Technical Services is one of the major business divisions within Mitie alongside Business Services and Central Government & Defence which provide Hard and Soft FM services to Public Sector clients in Healthcare, Education (schools and universities), Local Authorities and Councils and Emergency Services. Our contracts include both commercial output-specified contracts and Private Finance Initiative contracts.
Position Overview The role of Assistant Lifecycle Manager is essential within the Technical Services Projects team and will facilitate and support the creation of Lifecycle plans, support the delivery of condition surveys, ensure the delivery of rigorous asset-related cost planning, and enhance contractual compliance across the both the Healthcare and Education and Local Government Business Units.
The role of Assistant Lifecycle Manager will report into the Lifecycle Manager and will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders such as the Projects team, FM Operational teams, central support teams and Project Co. / SPV representatives. |
Main duties |
Responsibilities · Work with the Lifecycle Manager and Mitie FM Teams to ensure contractual compliance in respect of Lifecycle and asset management obligations. · Assist the Lifecycle Manager with both internal and external data collection. · Continuously monitor and ensure Lifecycle spend is appropriate to the needs of the individual contract and does not adversely affect Mitie or its clients. · Support the delivery and analysis of condition surveys. · Creation and management of Lifecycle submissions. · Provide strategic Lifecycle support to Healthcare and LG&E contracts. · Ensure Lifecycle related activities comply with applicable Good Industry Practice. · Deliver effective communications with a range of internal and external stakeholders. · Develop and enhance relationships with Mitie FM Teams and Client Representatives across the Business Unit.
Finance / Surplus Assistant Lifecycle Manager · Maintain working relationships with the Internal and External Teams to develop the finance and fund sufficiency management · Liaise with External Stakeholders to obtain financial information · Liaise with wider Lifecycle Team, Finance and Operational Leads · Manage Internal reporting documents, update status reports and trackers
Knowledge, skills & experience · Comfortable with both commercial and process related activities (essential) · A proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as on their own (essential) · Comfortable in reporting within a complex, commercial and multi-faceted organisation (essential) · Experience in Lifecycle / cost planning and reviewing contractual obligations within PFI contracts (desired) · Experience in the Facilities Management & PFI sector (desired) · An understanding and experience of the Healthcare sector (desired) · Proficient in Microsoft applications

· Formal qualification in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying / other related discipline and / or experience of working within the PFI sector. · A confident and capable approach in respect of internal and external stakeholder engagement across a variety of levels. · An enthusiastic and pragmatic approach to all tasks. · An ability to work proactively, under pressure, and collaboratively. · A desire and ability to succeed through and with the wider team.
