ROLE: Air Hygiene Operative
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Tamworth – required to travel across the whole Southwest region

We're looking for an Air Hygiene Operative who will assist the Lead Engineer in delivering ventilation, ductwork cleaning and other air hygiene services to our customers.
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning in accordance with TR19 Grease.
- Carry out ventilation system cleaning in accordance with TR19.
- Installation of access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW144; carry out inspection of fire dampers in accordance with BS9999.
- Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant, follow preventative maintenance programmes, maintain equipment and chemical stock inventories, and make recommendations for major repairs.
- Ensure all records, service sheets, pre‑work risk assessments and method statement compliance are maintained, work is completed safely in line with RAMS, site rules are followed, communication with on‑site contacts is professional, and work areas are left clean and tidy.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must meet the below‑defined requirements for the role.
- Basic air hygiene knowledge, with the ability to operate and maintain ventilation systems and ideally hold a recognised qualification (not essential).
- Strong teamwork, client service, personal administration, analytical, problem‑solving and literacy skills, including the ability to read manuals.
- Effective verbal and listening communication abilities alongside strong time‑management skills.
- Valid UK driving licence.
