Every employee has their own learning account on our digital learning platform, Learning Hub, where we offer hundreds of digital and instructor-led courses. This means that every employee, regardless of role or location, is able to drive their own development, whether they are seeking out training related to their job, or learning to further their knowledge and develop their careers. Our technology enables employees to access learning using any device, at a time and place that suits them. Our learning offer is comprehensive, covering induction, job-related training, apprenticeships, management development, performance management and career management.
In addition to instructor-led sessions (virtual and classroom), our employees have access to a library of hundreds of digital learning activities that will appeal to different learning styles, ranging from documents and infographics to video learning, microlearning and eLearning activities; some are bespoke to Mitie, the rest from accredited, comprehensive course libraries. Topics covered include Mitie’s induction, customer service, driver awareness, equality and diversity, information security, and mental health wellness and wellbeing, to name a few.
The future of Mitie starts today, which is why apprenticeships are at the centre of what we do. At any point in time, we have over 1,000 colleagues doing an apprenticeship across 55 programmes. We offer Technical, Professional and Management apprenticeships. This means that our people always have an opportunity to grow and develop in their career. We’re always reviewing our Apprenticeship programme. We regularly add new courses based on what our business and our people need.
